'I Want Your Life' was amazing. It was wonderfully devious and somewhat unexpected, but I loved how evil Bella was. The way you made Bella 'own' her envy and embrace her desire to 'covet' the family to the point it turned truly deadly was a brilliant twist. It was uncomfortable in the best of ways. Thank you. ~ Deebelle1

A Beggar's Banquet is a brilliantly told story of the suffering of a daughter for the sins of her mother. One of the things that set this story apart for me was how the sin of gluttony was not committed by the main character, but it was explored through the eyes of the person it affected the most. From a young age, Bella had to not only care for her mother, she also had to endure the ridicule and challenges brought on by the sin. She handled herself with grace and compassion, accepting the kindness of those who truly cared and ultimately finding love just when she needs it. This story is wonderfully written with very few grammatical mistakes. A true pleasure to read. ~ kitch

Another round of kudos goes to Chocaholic123 for being
Judge Hadley's Favorite Sinful Entry
I chose this entry as my favorite because of the author's gentle, almost loving, handling of gluttony, a sin that usually elicits disgust from most of us. The writer skillfully draws out sympathy for both Bella and her mother while, at the same time, painting a heartbreaking picture of Bella's starvation for a "normal" life in the face of her mother's voracious over-consumption. This entry truly moved me to tears. ~ Hadley

I had a hard time picking my favorite, it was a close tie between two. I chose Closer to Home because it was a story that honored the theme of the contest best. I believe it's based on a true story that was circulating around Facebook last year, which made it even more believable. Lust. Maybe we don't think of it the way the story depicts it, but depicts it, it did. I'm hoping the author continues it as I'm curious to see what happens - especially who exactly is Mr. Cullen. ~ Cejsmom

Judge Lisa's Favorite Sinful Entry
This story was really well written. It had great character development that didn't show the characters as being too flawed, but not perfect either. I loved the plot and overall story which worked well as a one-shot, but could easily be developed further. ~ Lisa
